Carretera del Sol Highway
The "Highway to the Sun" is undoubtedly one of Mexico's best-known highways, and it allows for rapid travel to one of Mexico's leading tourist destinations.
It is built using the most advanced techniques and specifications for rapid roadways, tunnel design, and viaduct and bridge structures. It was laid out through one of the most rugged mountain areas of the country, requiring passage through elevations almost 1,500 meters above sea level. We resolved this with minimum slops and soft curves, enabling drivers to navigate the highway efficiently, quickly and safely. A fundamental part of building this highway was environmental care and ecological protection. We also preserved vestiges of ancient Olmec cultures along the route by building tunnels.
