Medellín River North Interceptor

Decades of neglect had severely affected the water quality of the Medellín River in Colombia. ICA was called upon to build an interceptor on this river, to benefit the people of the North and those residing along its banks by improving the quality of this resource. The 77-kilometer-long pipeline prevents the dumping of sewage into the river and channels it to a future treatment plant. This work sanitary and health risks.

Our presence in Colombia has given us the opportunity to participate in major projects involving inter-American cooperation. Colombia is also one of the most attractive markets in the region in terms of infrastructure development.
