There are two types of movements within ICA's Career Plans: vertical and horizontal. Each represents an increase in the skills acquired; however, one represents a salary raise while the other provides an opportunity to cover specific career goals or opportunities.
The professional trajectories or careers may include vertical movements within different levels of the same area, or horizontal movements through various duties; these movements are defined as:

• Sideways or horizontal movement (progression): allows the associate to acquire different skills by moving through various career opportunities that may or not represent a salary increase.
