Ignacio Cano Cervantes
Ignacio Cano has over 28 years of experience in actuarial, employee benefits, compensation, change management, leadership and Human Resources strategy consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where he was pension and risk management professor, and an MBA program at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas "IPADE". During 14 years was the Office Manager and Principal of Towers Perrin Mexico, now known as Towers Watson Mexico. Before joining Towers Perrin, he was a partner consultant with Watson Wyatt Mexico in 1989 he was transferred to the Washington D.C. office to work on international consulting services.In 1994 Mr. Cano joined Towers Perrin in the New York Office working with the international consulting group and then he was transferred to the Mexico City office to lead the Retirement practice. Over those years, he participated in advising several multinational and large Mexican Corporations on how to align their remuneration programs and HHRR practices to the business strategy. Currently Ignacio Cano is acting as HHRR Vicepresident of Grupo ICA S.A. de C.V. participating in a corporate transformation project. He has been Board Member of: Procesar , Skandia – Old Mutual, Afore Invercap,Grupo ICA and Amedirh (Mexican Human Resources Association). He is professor of the executive program "Instituto de Empresa en España". Have written several articles regarding HR, benefits and retirement in important magazines and have participated in several Conferences in Mexico, the US and Europe as a speaker on Human Resources related matters. In 2014 he was awarded the HHRR executive of the year by AMEDIRH.
