El Cajón Hydroelectric Power Plant

This hydroelectric power plant is one of the most technologically advanced in the world. It is located in the State of Nayarit, over the Santiago River. We built a machine room with two 372 MW generators and a 3,982-hectare reservoir. Its construction required the removal of 25,000 cubic meters of material, and the pouring of 668,000 m3 of concrete, with 5,140 separate plans drafted, and, to protect the environment, sustainable practices involving rescue of 37,641 specimens of wildlife and 13,271 plants.

This project holds the record for the number man-hours worked without incapacitating accident, 2,318,035, with 4,343 people working for just two months. It has earned more than 20 national and international recognitions and generated more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs.
